Mr. Powell, it was such a pleasure hearing you play my favorite two songs, Ashokan Farewell and Amazing Grace while at Paradise Inn from August 18th to 25th. If you are ever in the Raleigh area you will have a place to stay, my phone number is 919-389-5489. Hope you are enjoying the poem that my friend John Gozjack wrote for you.

Bill - I enjoyed your piano performances while we were at the Paradise Lodge. It inspired me to practice more each day when I returned home! It is a life-long skill and a life-long gift. I applaud your message on lessons. Indeed, I studied piano and trombone before engineering. My son studied piano and trombone before his university degrees (computer science, math). Music is indeed an important mental development, and centuries ago it was a part of the math curriculum at universities. Thank you for sharing your gift with all who are fortunate enough to listen. Bill, poor old Kanapaha Church is hard-pressed to find anyone who can replace half of what you brought to Choir, Sunday Worship, and every holy day throughout the year. I think they'll have to hire four pianists to approach the former status quo. Nevertheless, we wish our gifted and intrepid explorer well as you let the beautiful Northwest become a part of you.

As accompanist for my 1 hr., 30 minute musical celebration at Oak Hammock at the University of Florida, you were a great pleasure to work with. Your skill, flair and adaptability were more than equal to the task of covering the shortcomings of a 75 year-old singer who wanted to share his life experiences with his community in song. The presentation was very well received and a number of compliments mentioned the accompanist specifically. It was a very fulfilling occasion for me and I couldn't have done it without you, Bill. Many thanks for the time and effort you put in in helping me to achieve my goals. I would love to work with you again sometime. I can heartily recommend you to anyone who might need an accompanist for any vocal undertaking. Thanks again. Mac

Bill Powell is the best. His musicianship is superb. He is dependable and always gives a stellar performance I've had the pleasure of hearing Bill on a regular basis for several years and I've never heard him hit a wrong note.
